Not all gates are good choices for stairways. We believe the safest installations are those which do not obstruct the floor in any manner and which offer a wide space to pass thru. With a few exceptions, this means a "hard-mounted" gate vs. a pressure gate. The gates listed here are all ones which we believe offer safe installations for children and adults alike.
