Portable emergency ladders offer the flexibility of use in multiple locations depending on the situation.  That said, ladders which are permanently installed nearby a specific escape route can be located and used more rapidly.  This can be particularly helpful with regard to houseguests and children who are less likely to be familiar with how to find and use the ladder.

The hook attached to our standard fire ladders will secure the ladder to most surfaces necessary, such as window sills and railings.  When no sill or other logical surface is present to hook the ladder onto, or when it is simply desired to secure the ladder permanently in advance of use, the permanant mounting bracket provides an easy means of creating a secure attachment point.

 Installation

• Mounts easily into an appropriate wood surface
• Once you have installed the bracket and attached the ladder to it, it is advisable to deploy the ladder and test the installation by having 2 people climb up from the ground a few steps at the same time.
