If you should experience a fire and your preferred means of exiting is blocked by smoke or flames, having a second way out is essential.

Most fire ladders on the market are bulky, heavy and unwieldy to operate. By contrast, this ladder is extremely lightweight and easy-to-use. Simply position steel hook on window sill and pull velcro strap to deploy ladder.

In selecting the proper length ladder to meet your needs, measure the longest potential distance from the window sill to the ground from ALL potential places where the ladder may need to be used. Add length as necessary for obstructions such as roof overhangs.  If you do not have a tape measure that is long enough, use a rope to establish the full distance to the ground and then measure the length of rope used. The ladder should be long enough to get the user to within 2 feet of the ground.

 Usage

• For use in emergency situations only, when all other escape options are exhausted and waiting for help is not possible.
• In an emergency, if possible close doors between yourself and the fire before opening windows to avoid intensifying the fire.
• Study all instructions provided with the ladder including usage and packing
• Practicing the deployment of the ladder is highly recommended, but DO NOT CLIMB DOWN from any location above 6 feet from the ground. Practice letting the ladder down, and then once deployed, you can step up on the ladder one or two steps from the ground to get the feel of the equipment and ensure it is holding properly on the window sill. Practicing use of the ladder may result in scratching of the exterior surface of the dwelling.
• The ladder is designed to be used on all window sills that allow the ladder to attach securely. For non-standard window sills, an optional mounting bracket is available (sold separately)
• It is recommended not to try to carry anything (children, pets, objects) with you as this may cause serious injury. See other means of lowering small children and pets that we offer (sold separately).
• Inspect the ladder annually for damage, loosening and deterioration. The ladder should be replaced every 15 years to ensure safety. Store the ladder in a convenient location near the exit window. Do not store the ladder in direct sunlight, outside, or at extreme temperatures. To clean rinse with water only.

 Warranty and Replacement

• The ladder is covered by a 10 Year Limited Warranty. The warranty covers material and workmanship and is limited to the original end-use purchaser. The manufacturer makes no other warranties, express or implied. The warranty does not apply for product that was subject to misuse, accident, alteration or was used or maintained improperly. The manufacturer is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages.
• If you use the ladder in a documented emergency, the ladder will be replaced at no charge by the manufacturer.
